For some genuinely thought-provoking meta on Arthur's job and basically his entire role in canon, go read this fascinating post: Arthur's Job: A Series of Thoughts. I think sometimes fandom tends to downplay Arthur and his contribution to the team as a whole--he's not just a sharp-dressed dude who sits on Google all day collecting random facts, he is a lead unit. Although, funnily enough, even though that post argues that Arthur isn't simply a glorified hacker who's never been caught, um, I WOULD TOTALLY READ THAT. Hacker AU, omg, yes please. Likewise, the story where Arthur is the tech-savvy one and Eames has the street smarts is ALWAYS welcomed.
