The good thing about going to a tropical place in the middle of winter is that you get to escape the cold and pretend it's summer for a week. The BAD thing about going to a tropical place in the middle of winter is that you have to come BACK to winter and give up wearing flip-flops and sundresses 24/7. Ugh, it's kind of depressing. I miss sleeping with the windows open and eating every meal outside.

You Were a Kindness When I Was a Stranger by devildoll [Teen Wolf, Derek/Stiles, kinda sorta 50 Shades of Grey AU] - So I totally read this on the plane ride to Florida and literally ended up crying all over myself right as the flight attendant came by. I don't what it is, but I have this THING for these two in AU settings being hopelessly in love and thinking the other will never love them back.

Beltane by devildoll [Teen Wolf, Derek/Stiles, AU where Stiles has magical healing powers] - See above comment, re: my thing. Bonus points for the fantastic Derek POV.

Slow Bending Axe by canarypaper [The Hobbit, Kili/Fili, WARNING FOR SPOILERS AND CHARACTER DEATH] - Ugh, yeah, idk but if you want your heart ripped out along with some lovely OTP action, check this out? (God, this fandom is ALLLLL about the masochism, I swear.)

At Your Service by AndreaLyn [The Hobbit, Kili/Fili, basically concussed ducks in love] - I LOVE the trope where Kili unknowingly courts maidens who look just like Fili and has NO IDEA what that could mean.

fall upon, light upon by pollyrepeat [Avengers, Clint/Coulson, sequel to still officially lost] - POLLY FINALLY FINISHED THE EARLY YEARS SEQUEL!!! Erm, I mean, she wrote the continuation of the greatest Clint/Coulson origins fic EVER,where Clint is clueless and adorable and does dumb things because he's in love.

Finally, have a music rec! A few months ago, Mr. Foxx got a new car that came with Sirius satellite radio, and I've become utterly obsessed with the dance techno station. Like, for realsies, I can babble on about Knife Party, Swedish House Mafia, Kaskade, Avicii, YOU NAME IT. The other night I heard the Mark Knight remix of Florence & The Machine's "You've Got the Love" and omgggggggg so many hearts in my eyes. *_____*
