Let the Future Come into Each Moment by [livejournal.com profile] saramir - [Jon/Spencer, 28k, NC-17]

ZOMG, read it if you haven't already. It is the BEST kind of futurefic that actually shows an extremely plausible future for the boys, both musically and emotionally. Also, one of the best Jon/Spencer fics I have EVER READ. Every character is carefully drawn, and there are moments between all four of the boys that make you believe that, yes, this is how it is, this is why I love them so much.

Uuugh, I adore this fandom to tiny pieces sometimes. *sighs longingly*

Soooooo I'm starting to think that my wee little idea to possibly/eventually turn my big bang into an original story (!!) to be read by people outside the internets (!!!!!) is not such a great idea. First, I'm constantly psyching myself out during the writing process instead of just writing, and second, Mr. Foxx has pretty much convinced me that I am not capable of writing a "true" fantasy story that's marketable, namely because I don't read enough fantasy and therefore do not have a good grasp on the genre. As he put it, "You wouldn't condone me running off to write gay love stories, would you?" Le sigh. On the one hand, I kind of think he's right? Not to mention a vast majority of my big bang story is ripping off Star Wars...but then, who doesn't rip off Star Wars? IDK IDK maybe I should just see how the whole thing pans out and then go back and reevaluate just what I want to do with it. Is it still considered YA if the characters are in their early/mid-twenties?

I really wish a story about Jon Walker, Dragonrider, wasn't causing me such existential angst.
