I need a sandwich.
Mar. 20th, 2007 07:47 pmI loved last night's Black Donnellys so much, but a part of me sort of realized during the ep that this show cannot last on network television. It just can't. There's too much darkness and layers and bad people doing bad things who are also sort of good but not really although they try really hard. And I'm very cynical toward "Save Our Show" campaigns (how seasons of Firefly are there?). TBD is not Friday Night Lights--NBC can't capitalize on its universal themes. I'm not saying FNL is, like, snugglier than TBD, but let's face it, Coach Taylor isn't offing people every week to save his family. Ugh, I don't know, I hate being all pessimistic about a show I adore, but I guess I'm simply preparing myself for the inevitable. Either that, or FX really, REALLY needs to pick this show up.

For comic relief...
[earlier today]
Co-worker: OMG, are you like getting really weird emails from people you don't even know in your spam folder?
Me: ...Um. It's a spam folder. Sooo...yes.
Co-worker: I know, but, like, I don't even know these people and the emails usually don't make sense.
Me: ...
Co-worker: It's just kind of creepy.
