Not only did The Office make me cry tonight (PAM. MICHAEL. HEAAAART.), but then I turned around and watched the pilot of The Black Donnellys. Yes, safe to say, I LOVED IT. It's dark and intense and just GUH. A part of me keeps wondering just what this would look like on HBO, but then it would probably just be a sort of Sopranos rip-off, I guess. For network television, this is pretty hardcore. And Jonathan Tucker, who plays Tommy Donnelly, already owns my heart from his SVU episode, so it didn't take much for me to fall for him again. Okay, so the ending's slightly Godfather-ish, but the best part?

THE CROSSOVER POSSIBILITIES.

Is it wrong that I'm already forming SVU/Oz/Black Donnellys x-overs in my head from one episode? Except for the fact that Kirk Acevedo is now Italian instead of Latino (!), the possibilities are endless. I can already see flashbacks to O'Reily and Cyril, the slightly older kids in the neighborhood, roughing up Jimmy and Kevin and the rest and making them do their dirty shit. And then, present day, an Irish SVU detective with a Catholic guilt streak ends up investigating a rape case that leads him to questioning one Tommy Donnelly, who's covering for his brother Sean, who got too wasted one night and took things too far with his latest girl.
