There seems to be a bad!fic theme on my flist these past few days, LOL. I'm just one of those people that can't read bad!fic for fun, unless it's MST3K'd, a la svu_mst and the like, or when blondiusmaximus reenacts them for me (because really, there's nothing better than having Blayne do her impersonations of Frank being fucked by a squid *___*).

Why all this bleakness and violence and unending angst, Panic fic writers? I can maybe understand death and destruction in MCR fic (although really, Gerard gleefaces over HAMSTERS FOR CHRISTMAS, why would he chop Mikey's body up into a million little pieces and then go sit in the rain naked and, like, draw a picture about it?), but can you really write Jon as a horrible bigoted high school bully who punches people when he wears slippers to m&gs? I mean, I realize this face just SCREAMS evil thoughts and a violence shimmer beneath the surface, but does it really need to be in fic? How can you look at these retarded faces and think, "Gee, I suddenly have a BURNING DESIRE to write fic where they're all drug addicted losers living in a halfway house, and Hobo has doggie AIDS!"

harriet_vane and I have been writing back and forth on a story where Ryan and Spencer decide to rob a small town bank because Spencer's sisters are being held for ransom and they don't know how else to get five million dollars, and Brendon's the poor assistant manager who doesn't have the keys to the vault, and Jon's the town's unsuspecting deputy sheriff who decides to swing by the bank to say hi to his BFF Brendon. Hostage situations occur! Ryan fires a gun that Spencer thought didn't have real bullets! Jon can't get back-up because all the rest of the cops in the area are either sick or on vacation! Somehow romantic shenanigans happen, idk.

Favorite bad!fic cliches, anyone? I'm curious! If I rule out secret mpreg, does that narrow the field too much?

My favourite badfic cliche is the high school AU where Panic Member 1 and Panic Member 2 hate each other but are secretly ~~~IN LOVE. Hence why I made zarah5 write it with me.

I don't like angst/violence that is like.. with no sense or limits. That happens A LOT! in MCR fandom. Have you seen that Mikey ALWAYS gets raped? And I mean, yeah, he's skinny and wears (used to wear glasses) but that doesn't make him completly rape-able. I mean, he's so tall, how can you force him down? I wanted to start a cruzade "Stop Rapping Mikey!" How come Ray or Bob never get raped?
MCR is like... the guy gets bullied/beaten/raped at school and then gets home and gets raped/beaten by his drunken dad. it's like.. C'mon! Give the guy a break!

Back in MCR... there's this Pedro Amodovar old picture, called "Atame". "Tie me up," would it be. It's about Stocholm Syndrome. A guy (Antonio Banderas) not very sane is very fan and obsessed with an actrees from class b movies (Victoria Abril), so much that he kidnapes her and keeps her captive tied up to the bed. Eventually the girl falls for Antonio. It's such a great movie.
I wanted to make an AU from that movie. Not literal, but based on it. I imagined that Gerard could be the crazy one and Frank a porn actor. But I stopped reading/writing MCR, and in Panic...
I go for Joncer, but I can't see Jon or Spencer as the crazy one. Maybe Brendon without meds, could kidnap Ryan...

Moving on though, have you seen that made-for-tv Christmas movie with Tony Danza and the girl from Back to the Future where she runs a reindeer farm and he's a bank robber who, of course, get stranded in Back to the Future girl's sleepy little hometown in the weeks leading up to Christmas, and he plans to rob the town on Christmas Eve but then he falls in love with the town and also Michael J Fox's mom? And there's much caroling and everyonne in town just loves Tony Danza and tries to fix him up with Back to the Future girl and also Betty White is there. It's the best made-for-tv Tony Danza Christmas movie ever and it just screams badfic. I think our boys could fill the spots quite nicely. ;)

Ooh! That or A Smokey Mountain Christmas. Either one would absolutely make my holiday season, I think.

1) High School fics where dude 1 is the innocent new kid who catches the attention of the bad boy of the school! THEY HAVE TO WORK TOGETHER ON A SCHOOL PROJEKT AND DUDE 1 REALIZES THAT BAD BOY SECRETLY HAS A HEART OF GOLD!

2) H.S. fic where Dude 1 is being sexually abused by his parents and getting beat up hence why he cuts himself. (I hate fics like that =( It makes me depressed especially when it's BAD WRITTEN AND CLICHE)

3) HIGH SCHOOL ANGST. THEY GET TOGETHER. DUDE 1 CHEATS ON DUDE 2 BECAUSE HE DOESN'T WANT TO BE GAY or because HE WAS WEAK AGAINST TEMPTATION. They break up. Someone commits suicide. Sad ending

4) I did read this one where Dude 1 was being raised by foster parents and his foster dad was an abuser who was also in lust with his own brother. O_O
