Oh my god, I have read the fic of my dreams, and I can't stop crying.

A Brokedown Melody by sathinks, i.e. the surfer AU, i.e. 33,000 words about Jon Walker AS A SURFER. It's seriously one of my most favoritest things I've ever read in this fandom (actually, ANY fandom), and if you know anything about my love for Jon fucking Walker, you will go read this fic.

The whole time I was reading it I was copy-pasting bits to my RL friends in IM and pretending it was from a book because I didn't want to explain fanfic to them. For example:

Me: And then he's 12 and they move to Hawaii and he's all homesick so he only orders chicken fingers!
My brother: ...Is this book about me?
