foxxcub: (it's a habit)

so tired of being tired

I wish I could articulate how epically made of fail my dad's estate is. Safe to say my dad was not a financial genius, and had a habit of hooking up with crazy women who talked him into doing dumb things. UUUUGH. If I get out of this unscathed, best case scenario is that I'll own rental property that will give me nice tax breaks and some side income. Worst case? I end up owing money and dealing with probate lawyers for many, many months.

ANYWAY. I am apparently going to babble about my boarding school AU 'verse for a while, since I can't shut up about it to [livejournal.com profile] fitofpique or [livejournal.com profile] lyo. Sorry, you guys. /o\ I might start posting a bunch of little epilogue fics here eventually. Or I might just need the excuse to post some porn.

I also did that writing analyzer meme with a snippet of the boarding school AU, and it told me I write like ACD. LOLING FOREVER. Then I used a snippet from my dragonrider AU, and it told me I write like Dan Brown. ;__________;

In other news, I NEED TO STOP BUYING CARDIGANS, WTF.

One cannot have too many cardigans (or epilogue fics). Jus' saying. I hope things work out estate-wise!

[identity profile] foxxcub.livejournal.com 2010-07-13 02:42 am (UTC)(link)
Porn and cardigans! That's apparently all I need to be happy.

LOL, congrats!

[identity profile] gracefulfool.livejournal.com 2010-07-13 02:51 am (UTC)(link)
I would read anything even vaguely related to that fic! Seriously. Feel like posting a list of random words that you deleted during your editing process? I WOULD READ THAT LIST! \o/

Also, yay cardigans!

[identity profile] foxxcub.livejournal.com 2010-07-13 01:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Hee, ♥! I mostly just want to babble about their fail relationship and how they can't simply fall into a happily ever after, you know? Because it's THEM, and they are complicated boys who have not seen each other in ten years and a lot of things change in ten years.

[identity profile] harriet-vane.livejournal.com 2010-07-13 02:53 am (UTC)(link)
My journal is Stephen King and my fic is Margaret Atwood. What?

Ooooh, I love cardigans! I say buy more!

(Dad stuff. ♥)

[identity profile] foxxcub.livejournal.com 2010-07-13 01:13 pm (UTC)(link)
I had to c/p several LJ entries before I got Stephen King. Apparently I am destined to be Dan Brown. ;__;

Dude, there are SO MANY SALES and so many cardigans. Waaaaaaant.

(♥ ♥)

[identity profile] fitofpique.livejournal.com 2010-07-13 02:53 am (UTC)(link)
I write like Stephen King (three out of five times), James Joyce, and JK Rowling. Oh, man.

I thought I was the one who couldn't shut up about it! Let's talk about it forever! I still want to try writing that one scenario I told you about Friday, if you wouldn't mind too much!

I write like Margaret Atwood and Chuck Palahniuk! BEST EVER.

ONE CAN NEVER HAVE ENOUGH CARDIGANS!

[identity profile] foxxcub.livejournal.com 2010-07-13 01:14 pm (UTC)(link)
AHAHAHA WIN!

[identity profile] inteligrrl.livejournal.com 2010-07-13 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
I got Dan Brown when I tried a journal entry, and promptly went "OH THIS IS NOT ON", so I tried fics of various vintage and uniformly was told I wrote like Stephen King. Apparently I'm doomed to be more pulp fiction than classic.

Also, I want to encourage any and all boarding school AU snippets. I could just live there for like a million years, and anything to help further that goal would be greatly appreciated.

[identity profile] foxxcub.livejournal.com 2010-07-13 01:15 pm (UTC)(link)
That's pretty much what I did, lol, until I, too, got Stephen King. But I'm still highly amused that the thing thinks my Holmes fic is accurate.

[identity profile] mahoni.livejournal.com 2010-07-13 03:45 am (UTC)(link)
I hope you get the best case scenario. Or middle case. But definitely not worst case. :(

*hugs*

I am fascinated by that writing analyzer thing. I am mostly Stephen King, with a dash of James Joyce, and rare blips of a bunch of other people. LOLWHUT.

[identity profile] foxxcub.livejournal.com 2010-07-13 01:16 pm (UTC)(link)
I think I'll be okay, as long as the lawyers don't eff everything up. :/

YOU ARE ECLECTIC AND AWESOME, APPARENTLY!

[identity profile] insunshine.livejournal.com 2010-07-13 04:43 am (UTC)(link)
Goodness, I'm so sorry about the mess with your father's estate, love.

PS. I WANTED TO SEND YOU AN EMAIL THE OTHER DAY, BUT MY GMAIL APPARENTLY LOST YOURS. I have your big bang saved to my phone and ready to read, and I have to tell you, the little I have read of it has seriously given me SUCH delight, I can't even tell you. I adore it and I adore you SO MUCH.

YOU DO NOT WRITE LIKE DAN BROWN. That second one was obviously a malfunction.

*hugs* for everything to do with the estate. Although I'm confused as to how you would end up in debt? >:/ I mean, I'm not asking for details, obviously that's personal, but I always thought there were protections in place which meant you didn't inherit a person's debt when they died.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for the first outcome, anyway. *more hugs* I offer this too, though I'm sure you've already seen it, being from Zooborns and all. But the sentiment remains the same. ♥

[identity profile] foxxcub.livejournal.com 2010-07-13 01:18 pm (UTC)(link)
I HAD NOT SEEN THOSE! I am evidently behind on my ZooBorn consumption!

Re: the debt--it's a long story, and yes there are regulations to keep me from paying on debt, but this is kind of a whole other ball of wax. I won't bore you with the details. ♥

THERE CAN NEVER BE TOO MANY CARDIGANS. Continue accruing!

[identity profile] lyo.livejournal.com 2010-07-13 11:35 am (UTC)(link)
I WILL NEVER COMPLAIN ABOUT EPILOGUE PORN. *____* I want so many scenes about them cuddled together in bed and talking about what they did in those ten years, and Holmes snuggling close to Watson when he starts to talk about the war. ;____;

[identity profile] foxxcub.livejournal.com 2010-07-13 01:08 pm (UTC)(link)
and Holmes snuggling close to Watson when he starts to talk about the war.

[identity profile] foxxcub.livejournal.com 2010-07-13 01:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeeeeeah, to say the least. /o\ Parts aren't as bad as we first thought? But that's not saying much in the grand scheme of things.

*hugs*

[identity profile] cmonkatiekatie.livejournal.com 2010-07-13 05:29 pm (UTC)(link)
I had to keep checking until I got out of Dan Brown territory. /o\

Ugh. That estate stuff sounds exhausting. Good luck!

I put in a few blurbs of the awful, terrible fanfiction I used to write about Pete Wentz on Quizilla when I was 11, and apparently I write like James Joyce, aka the dirty pervert who used to write letters to his wife about how erotic her farts were. ;____;
