Why yes, I have been reading the Wikipedia entry for Sherlock Holmes, thanks for asking. Sometimes I think RDJ read this post and went, "Yes, but what if he were a little less cold and TWICE AS GAY FOR WATSON?" There are little gems like this: In "The Adventure of the Three Garridebs", Watson is wounded in a confrontation with a villain; while the bullet wound proves to be "quite superficial," Watson is moved by Holmes' reaction:

"It was worth a wound; it was worth many wounds; to know the depth of loyalty and love which lay behind that cold mask. The clear, hard eyes were dimmed for a moment, and the firm lips were shaking. For the one and only time I caught a glimpse of a great heart as well as of a great brain. All my years of humble but single-minded service culminated in that moment of revelation."

♥________________♥ In an effort to accurately research for my Big Bang fic, I may have to steal Mr. Foxx's Sherlock Holmes anthology and read this shit.

In other news, no_tags has been pretty awesome so far. I haven't really scratched the surface in terms of delving into everything, but I have enjoyed some stories a lot, such as:

when there's nothing left to burn - Ryan/Brendon/Spencer, post-split fic/road trip fic. I love the volatile state of Ryan and Brendon's relationship, but also the fact that Spencer is frustrated in a very affectionate, exasperated way with both of them.

Whole - Jon/Brendon, Jon's a ~secret singer/songwriter! And Brendon is his well-meaning, adorable, loving boyfriend. &them;

Space Where We Meet is Different from the Rest - girl!Mikey/Alicia, boarding school AU. If you are a fan of "The Holly Golightly Club," you MUST read this. It's set vaguely in the "I'm Not Okay" 'verse, and there is so much teenage uncertainty and angst, which is my favorite. The emotions are almost palpable at certain points.

Sex is Emotion in Motion - Jon/girl!Spencer, featuring corsets and stockings. Um. Enough said.

No Expectations - Jon&Tom BFF times, post-split. This is basically the conversation I completely believe took place not long after the split was announced. I could read a billion words of these two failboats being beffies.

Accidents, Trolls, and All Night Coffee - Panic gen, with undertones of Jon/Spencer. Urban fantasy AU! SO fantastic, I almost want to beg the author to make a big long epic out of it, because I never knew how much I needed griffin!Spencer in my life. *____*

There's a TON more that I want to read, but I'm slow. There's also a guessing post, but I'm horrible at figuring out people's styles and whatnot. /o\

Oh, and the second (I think) book opens with Watson watching Holmes shoot up. And describing it in detail. Which was the scene that made me realise I NEED THESE STORIES IN MY LIFE.

actually, the really amazing part of that scene is when holmes decides watson's assurance that it's just a scratch aren't good enough and CUTS OPEN WATSON'S PANTS so that he can see the wound for himself.
