SGA: Sunday, or The One Where JF Looks Like Kyle Chandler
Okay, I HAVE to get this out of the way:
LORNE IS AN ARTIST OMFG THAT MAKES ME WANT TO DIE A SWEET, SWEET DEATH.
So yeah, that was going to be the extent of my post--I mean, now I finally know why he's an artist in fic all the time!--but then...oh god.
God. Carson. ;__;
I know, it probably wasn't the best kept secret, but for some reason I'd gotten it in my head that he just left and didn't actually die. Call it denial or whatever. But I didn't expect that at all.
I think the way they killed him sucked big time, much like the way The Lone Gunmen were offed on The X-Files; short, unceremonious, and very unfair to a well-loved character. Carson deserved better, Gero. He really, really did.
I'm desperately trying not to be shallow with the OMG-Lorne-and-Sheppard-in-dress-uniform flailage.
I didn't cry until the end, because Rodney in guilt/emo mode breaks me every time. Oh, Hewlett. When you play sad, you make me want to snuggle the bejeezus out of you.
But death aside, that entire ep was like one giant, glorious piece of fanfic. John teaching Ronon to golf? Teyla confessing a crush torandom Mary Sue a friend? Elizabeth going on A DATE with Mike, The Scientist Made of Guh? Tell me that's not fanfic.
And gah, how much did I crave some Parrish when Rodney's with Katie in the botany lab. They seriously need to bring him backfor Lorne.

But seriously, as for Carson... Me and the leprechauns are just pretending that he had to go back to Earth for a while, to care for his wee turtles...
