arabella_hope linked me to a default icon drabble meme, and here's what my brain came up with in five minutes:


Yes, there would be those moments when he simply didn't think he could do this, not anymore; there would come a time when it all had to end, when something would break inside him, for good or bad. Elliot likes to think he'll see it coming, that he'll know when to step back and let go. But positive thinking hasn't always been his strong point, and since when has planning for the future ever worked in his favor? The simple truth is that people will come and go in his life, but the job...the job will always stay the same.

I run hot n' cold on the drabble concept, so that makes sense. It *does* sound refreshing too... the timed writes that I used to do were like that for me. Of course, even then I'd mull things through a bunch before setting pen to page. Currently, I'm obsessing a tech too much over the word count to be drabblely- quick.

And you still rule. :D
