Instead of actually writing...
Writing Meme 2006
Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted?: I'm actually surprised at the amount of J/S I wrote--I thought it was less! I'm most surprised by the amount of panfandom writing I did. ;)
What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January 2005?: OMG Oz? Beecher/Keller? What/who the fuck are they?! :P
What's your favorite story of the year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest?: Probably Let Go, simply because the comments still, after six months, make me tear up. I've heard so many stories about how much J/J means to people, and that never ceases to amaze me, or put a smile on my face. Who would've thought angsty teenage boy!love could bring people together?
Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them?: I really sweated the 2nd person POV in Five Words Chris Keller Never Said, but now I don't think I could've written it any other way.
Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the New Year?: Finish the Small Favors 'verse!! *looks pointedly at
rhymephile* And to also get back to Second Shot, my NaNo novel. And write some BSG fic for
shleemeri.
From my past year of writing, what was...
My Favorite Story: I love A Little Destruction so very much, because I worked my ass off on that fic, and it was mostly responsible for introducing to me to a fandom I love dearly. Close seconds are Five Words Chris Keller Never Said and It's Always Fall in New England. Oh, and Momentary Fits of Insanity, because I looooooove writing Eddie Drake. Like, a lot. ;D
My Best Story: Five Words Chris Keller Never Said, and maybe Equations
Story Most Underappreciated by the Universe: I kind of wish The Absolute True Story of Sawyer's Adventures in Oz had gotten more of a cross-fandom response, but that's just me being a fandom whore, LOL.
Most fun: Momentary Fits of Insanity (again, Eddie is fun!writing love) and Things Your Home Depot Warranty Does Not Cover--God, how I love writing Foxshy. Also, Most Fun and Cathartic fic goes to Jack and Ennis's Final Repose; I need more excuses to write George Clooney, dammit.
Most disappointing: Coping out on my NaNo. And I'm always hard on myself with the Jack/James 'verse...I go back and find little things that should be fixed, heh.
Most sexy: I think all my J/J fics are sexy. And I love Easy, because it's lockdown!porn, and that's sexy in and of itself, LOL.
Story With a Single Sexy Moment: Let Go, where Jack whispers, "Let me fuck you," to James. :D
Hardest to Write: Let Go. No story/fic has ever emotionally wrecked me like that before. I have even more respect for Annie Proulx.
Most Unintentionally Telling: Well,
shleemeri said that Everything is Alright was Aleesha!meta, i.e. the whole thing is basically my reasons for why I love Jack and Toby. I didn't even realize it until after she said that, but yeah, it totally is. I do so love my intensely broken, emo rich boys (the bad boys who love them).
I use this mood theme icon way too much. :-/

I still remember that I didn't actually start to really cry until I posted it. Then it was real. :(

Me too! Hee. Maybe it's why we get along so well.
I really need to read more of your writing. And just more Jack/Sawyer in general, because I've actually only read yours.

And yes, you *do* need to read more J/S! I have, like, over 60 recs in my memories if you're curious.

My hat's off to you for conquering so many fandoms, and so damn well. You're making the rest of us look bad! LOL. Or just lazy.
And I love your Oz crossover fic! Make that fics. Those characters are too damn good to keep apart.
Here's to another great year with more great foxxcub fic. *mwah*

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
*puts down the shank she was sharpening ever so carefully*
*flails*
You realize I'm going to hold you to that, sistah. Like, with threats of bodily injury. Because I can. PLUS, I KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE.

Also...if I can write your birthday story, the Silver Bells and Gold Shields, 4,000 words of the Smile series, and Oz Magi, you can drag yourself away to spit out a few words of Toby and Keller. ;-P
*sharpens shank just in case*

After seeing OZ you know the things that can arrive by post. And you don't have the ever helpful Vern screening the parcels.*g*
Seriously, your arrival at the OZ fandom has been a gift.
I was just reading again 'The Absolute True Sory of Sawyer's Adventures in OZ'. It's perfect and the concept of the illustrated fic is wonderful.
Some time next year, you need to go back to the 'Everything is Alright' universe
and have Keller and Sawyer meet again and team up, while their well-behaved lawyer and surgeon boyfriends worry.

You know, that might be another goal of mine next year--to go revisit the universe of "Everything is Alright" and get Keller and Sawyer in on one last job. I haven't forgotten the idea!
