You have to give the BSG miniseries a chance before you shut it off. Trust me, it can be a little slow at times, but once it picks up you can't go wrong with BSG. Critics rave about it all the time, and right now it's definitely one of the better dramas out there, not just sci-fi dramas.

Season 1 also has some fantastic holy-shit moments, the kind you would see coming a million miles away in other shows.

Give it a chance. You'll definitely love it.
