You do. You really, really do. It's a completely different dynamic from in the movie (in the book they pretty much love each other right off the bat), but oh gosh, so much squishy FEELINGS and love and loyalty and did I mention the squishy FEELINGS. The words "I am the centurion's hound, to lie at the centurion's feet" were uttered, and that was near the BEGINNING of their relationship, so y'know, it only got steadily more fabulously gay as they went along XD
