There are alien noises from my belly.
Today is my official "detox day" for boot camp, which means I have been living off green tea and decaf coffee all day. I am...kind of starving. :( But tonight my trainer says there will be lots of yoga and easy stuff. Not to mention this is THE FINAL WEEK! I can't believe I'm almost done, but it's been so completely worth it. I'm eating better than I ever have in my life, I'm running at least mile every day what and I feel better about myself in general. I've lost about eight pounds so far, and while I'd like to make it an even ten by the end, I'm actually more interested to see how many inches I've lost. Mr. Foxx wants to do the next boot camp that's scheduled in January--maybe by then I'll be able to actually keep up with the actualfax runners? That's completely weird to say, since I have never EVER been the athletic type, but hey, at least I can say that I'm old and in the best shape of my life when my birthday comes next month.
I think shocking my body into being healthy has played havoc somewhat with my mental health; I had a really bad bout of depression yesterday morning, missing friends and whatnot. I feel more thoroughly exhausted lately, like I'm coming down with something, only it's fixed with four hour naps usually. But I'm getting through it, and everyone needs a
gobsmackit in their lives to make them feel loved. ♥
The biggest downside to this whole boot camp thing has been my complete lack of time to write anything. I'm in the gym every night, and when the weekend finally comes along, I'm too tired and/or busy to sit down and engage my brain in writerly things. It sucks. :( But hopefully after this week I won't be tied to a strict schedule, gym-wise. I can't really talk about what I'm working on for my Christmas exchange fic, since it's being written for someone on my flist, but I will say that it's a sequel. :D

Just think of all the goodness you'll feel on your birthday when you can say you are totally in the best shape ever.

Ugh, I'm in the same place with writerly things right now, except it's work and school wearing me out. I did manage to write the first 1,000 words of my exchange fic when I was off on Saturday. :D
