I told Mr. Foxx I was going to post this last night and forgot. But anyway:

Mr. Foxx: So my parents are taking a cruise on the Panama Canal in a couple of weeks.
Me: ...WTF, why?!
Mr. Foxx: It's the Panama Canal! That's pretty cool!
Me: What is there to even see down there?
Mr. Foxx: Um, Panama! And a canal!

This also lead to a long debate over where in the world we'd like to take a vacation, which mostly made us realize that the ONLY place on the globe we can agree about going to visit is, like, New Zealand. I should mention there's a very good possibility we're going to Hawaii this summer for our five year wedding anniversary (since we got married there, it's only fitting!). This means no FOB shows for me, but let's be honest--in my book, Hawaii > FOB, even though I love them dearly.

Love potion fic is possibly the HARDEST THING I HAVE EVER WRITTEN. Why so much angst involved in writing porn?! I'm maybe thinking too hard about it, idk, I just need to get them to orgasms and then realize they actually ARE in love with each other, and then sweaty snuggling, the end. EASIER SAID THAN DONE. And it's like, whenever I can't think of something for them to do, I make Brendon talk dirty. This is evidently my default position for writing GSF.

And then annon_of_rhi went and posted this amaaaaaazing story idea where Spencer's this rich kid in NYC and Jon is his chauffeur to help pay for college, and there's all this PINING and MISUNDERSTANDINGS, and Jon doesn't think Spencer could want a broke photography student from Chicago who drives him home from school everyday, and there's Brendon, who is Spencer's friend from school whom Jon is convinced is Spencer's boyfriend, and UGH UGH UGH I WANT 4356056844 WORDS OF THIS STORY IMMEDIATELY. This is consuming my brain at the moment, because there is absolutely not enough Jon/Spencer where there is painful, awkward pining.

Panama is BEAUTIFUL. If they're going around other places there before/after going through the canal, there will be lots of pretty scenery. And if they get to go around Panama City that would be awesome; I didn't get to go there, but I really wanted to, and it seems like a really cool place.
