i could just kill a man

I am so, so tired of having those school angst-type dreams--you know, the ones where suddenly it's halfway through the semester and you've forgotten you were registered for this one class and it's too late to drop it, so you're fucked? Or the ones where you're in an art class and suddenly realize you've not done a single project the entire year? I'M NOT EVEN IN SCHOOL ANYMORE, WTF. I know these are stress/anxiety-triggered dreams, but I don't think I'm THAT stressed out? Plus, it doesn't help having said dreams immediately followed by zombie/flesh-eating virus apocalypse dreams. :(

On a more cheerful side, I have a current to-do list of writing:

* I...may have convinced [livejournal.com profile] ignipes to let me write a GSF coda to Parallax, which I am kind of ridiiiiiiculously excited about. And if you haven't read her Panic space opera, you are missing out on everything awesome in the world.

* Regency AU with [livejournal.com profile] harriet_vane, i.e. where Rachel and I write all our favorite romantic cliche's! Jon is a rake! Brendon is poor but a musical genius! Ryan is rich but socially inept! Spencer just wants people to stop hounding him to get married! And at some point Ryan buys everyone in Brendon's family a pony, I think.

Not to mention that I'm already plotting out my fic for [livejournal.com profile] bandombigbang! Dragons and evil sorcerers and princes, oh my!

P.S. OMG, I managed to find the full series of Deadwood for Mr. Foxx's birthday less than a hundred bucks on Amazon. SCORE! \o/

My not liking Mansfield Park so much was mostly because I wanted to smack Edmund upside for being so oblivious and stupid. Billie Piper was actually pretty good in it. I totally believed that she was absolutely head over heels in love with Edmund. You'll probably love it. =)

Sometimes I get to the end of Mansfield Park and go "...But they're cousins!"

ROFL! That's what I think when Mr Collins is making moves on Lizzie!

Yes! Especially in the Colin Firth adaptation, where he calls her "Cousin" DURING his proposal! WHAT? NO! OF COURSE SHE SHOULD TURN YOU DOWN, CREEPSTER.

HAHAHA! What about Emma, where Mr Knightly is practically her older brother, or at least a father figure? That creeps me out. *shudder*

That I don't mind so much, because I used to obsessively watch the Gwyneth Paltrow version, and there it was a usty girl next door bff-y kind of thing.

Ahh. I do recommend the Kate Beckinsale version. It's quite good, though Jeremy Northam makes a much sexier Mr Knightly.

But hmm. Kissing cousins. No thanks, though in Mr Collins and Lizzie's case, they're more second cousins. No idea about Edmund and Fanny.

Edmund and Fanny are first cousins. In the book, it specifies that Edmund's mother married for money, while her sister, Fanny's mother, married for love.

In which case, that's definitely kind of gross. Ewww. o_O

Most definitely. :D
