(no subject)

Nothing says Happy New Year like waking up to a billion drunk text messages from your friends. :D

Sadly, the highlight of my New Year's Eve was buying a new iPod Touch after much drama at Best Buy (long story). I went to bed at 10:00 because I am OLD and apparently fail at crazy times. But then a bunch of my RL friends were out at the casinos, and one of them texted me with "won $2, was totally worth the trip!" After that, I didn't feel so bad.

So new iPod, yay! It is quite sexy and has the interwebs! I spent all today moving all my shit from my old Nano onto it, and now is when you all recommend good music to me, since it's only half full now! I am ridiculously pleased that I bought Much Ado About Nothing with my iTunes gift card. JFC, I love that movie so much, I'm not even kidding. Kenneth Branagh and Emma Thompson are so amazing in it, and Keanu Reeves just makes me loooooool forever and ever. HE IS DENZEL WASHINGTON'S BASTARD BROTHER! BILLY SHAKESPEARE IS PROBS STILL LOLING IN HIS GRAVE.

I'm mad Merlin isn't up on iTunes, though, dammit.

I was also rewatching the GTA and DOA videos, and I'm seriously waiting for the day when I can watch the DOA video and not look like this ---> **___** PRECIOUS BABY BOYS. I'll be, like, 40, and still doing flappy hands at baby!Patrick and his failboat band. I vow to write more Pete/Patrick in 2009.

I was SO tempted to buy an iPod Touch on my trip, but I didn't because I'm trying to be an adult. One day, IT WILL BE MINE.

(Hi)

What did you name your iPod?

I LOVE Much Ado About Nothing. It's the most hilarious cast ever and it is AWESOME.

MAAAANNNNN! When I was 12, my most favorite movie was Much Ado About Nothing! I was simply in love with Benedick. And Robert Sean Leonard, but not that Claudio. Benedick wins the movie. Shakespeare, my first love. Yet, the bastar brothers are always the bad ones, it makes me feel sad. In The King Lear it happens the same, but the bastard brother was actually a bastard.
The good thing is that today I can watch Robert Sean Leonard at House and slash House/Wilson.

Drunk messajes! LOL! I didn't send any cause I had no credit and usually on when the 12 o'clock arrives, all lines collapse.

Me want Pete/Patrick!

*flails over Patrick, too* Please please please write more Pete/Patrick in 2009. Best resolution I've heard all day. \o/

Umm, as for music recs, the first thing that comes to mind is Josh Ritter 'cos I'm listening to him right now and he is fabulous. Acoustic storytelling stuffs, sometimes catchy, sometimes positively beautiful -- if you don't already know him, definitely give him a try. :)

Family Force 5! They are a) precious and b) redefine the term "dirty bass line", especially in "Wake the Dead." Also I saw them twice in 2008 (once at warped) and they owned the stage both times -- blew the roof off, melted our faces, etc, all while wearing the most ridiculous stage costumes I have *ever seen*. It was as if MCR and the Cobras got together and silver lame' and black leather marching band outfits were the result. and they have a teeny-tiny guitarist who is in charge of making the stupid faces.

Okay, I need some help. How do I transfer stuff from my old iPod to my new one? Do I just plug it into my itunes, and it does it itself? Will I lose the music in my itunes from my old iPod? I DON'T KNOW HOW TO WORK THESE TYPES OF THINNNNNGS.

I really want DOA!era Fall Out Boy to be able to see America's Suitehearts!era Fall Out Boy. Specifically, the difference between the music videos. Hooooh boy.

I support this vow! The Pete/Patrick chapter of your high school verse is my faaavourite.

I loooooooooove Much Ado About Nothing. Branagh and Thompson are the perfect Beatrice and Benedick. As for Keanu Reeves (lolololol) um I just focus on the leather trousers and ignore the 'acting'. Because I am shallow and he is pretty.

Music: Noah & The Whale, Jakob Dylan, Jim White, Kings of Leon. :)

Please DO write more Pete/Patrick this year!!! This is a most excellent resolution, I feel.

Eeeee, that movie is fantastic! Much Ado About Nothing is my very favorite Shakespeare play, and the Branagh/Thompson version is the best of the best. They have such warmth and wit between them. (Thompson rocks the living shit out of the "I would eat his heart in the marketplace" moment, and I Branagh makes "...and I will hie with thee to thine uncle's" hysterically funny in a way that I didn't realize it had the potential to be in the text alone.)

One of my friends has a Touch, it was actually cheaper than the one I got, I just got the classic with 120 GB of space, as much as I'd love to have the internet, I'm not a fan of how it looks, now if they polish it up and make it a little less cumbersome, I'll get one.

MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING!!!! <3_<3 KENNETH BRANAGH AND EMMA THOMPSON ARE MY IRRATIONAL ENGLISH PEOPLE CRUSHES, ALSO SCHOLARLY CRUSHES, ALSO WHYYYYYY DID THEY NOT HAVE A BABY TOGETHER, BECAUSE THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN A SHAKESPERIAN/AUSTENIAN/ACTING SUPER BABY.
