"potentially incredible"

[...]and 'Northern Downpour', while lacking the immediacy of other tracks on the record, is undoubtedly the most important song the band have ever written. Truly golden. No one knows quite how they have done it, no one know quite why they wanted to do it, but no one can deny that Panic at the Disco have made a baffling, bold, and brilliant second record.

I AM SO HAPPY THEY ARE GETTING SUCH GOOD REVIEWS. Like, okay, I was totally prepared for everyone else to HATE IT, you know, and I'd still love it, but they're getting REALLY GOOD REVIEWS and I am so happy for them.

I want the whole world to feel about NOrthern Downpour the way i do, AND LOOK. I think everyone really, really does. Sigh. I'm not teary, you can prove nothing.

OH MY GOD, please tell me you saw the Panic at the Blue Room thingie??? PLEASE?? I was thinking of you the whole time I was watching it, on account of the totally outrageous flirting between Jon and Spencer that was happening. I was all like "....am I imagining this? I am I blinded by my love for the two of them?? WHERE IS [livejournal.com profile] foxxcub TO BACK ME UP HERE???

i couldn't agree more. northern downpour is their finest work yet, compositionally, lyrically, and in terms of arrangement. i would disagree with "lacking immediacy" cos it was the song that captured me the most on my first listen.

so so proud of them. seriously. love. <3

Northern Downpour is such a beautiful song. It makes me tear up sometimes.

I'm glad they're getting some praise for what they've done.

And yet, I still haven't heard it.

I've been wondering if they were going to evolve, sort of go a little experimental and yet refine their sound..I guess they have. *smile8

I know right? That whole article was so heartclenchy and awesome to read. Oh, boys. <3

I cried when I read it this morning. Then I watched the Jimmy Kimmel thing and skipped around my room because I was so happy for them.

THOSE ARE TOTALLY NOT TEARS. EXCEPT FOR HOW THEY ARE. These boys make me so happy and I'm so proud of them. Ugh, Panic. HOW ARE YOU SO BRILLIANT?

[identity profile] gobsmackit.livejournal.com 2008-03-26 10:03 pm (UTC)(link)
SLIGHT TANGENT: I'm so obsessed with the "I'm not complainin' that it's rainin' I'm just sayin' that I like it a LOT. more than you think," line, I've hummed it all day at work since I first heard "I Have Friends In Holy Spaces."

P.S. SUGAR CAAAAAAAAAAAAANE. IN...THE EASY MORNIN'...

OH BOYS. I'm so happy for them, you know? And Northern Downpour - I can listen to that song pretty much forever, and not get sick of it. Oh, the harmonies, and those last 40 seconds... GAH. Gets me every time.

Panic on Jimmy Kimmel. I haven't watched it yet, but it was the first thing that came up on the search. :D

I TOTALLY TEARED UP WHEN I READ THAT. *hands* My boys.

[identity profile] walking-paradox.livejournal.com 2008-03-27 01:53 pm (UTC)(link)
That makes me so happy for them! Like someone said, I was really expecting people to hate it (even though I have nothing but HEARTS for this) but they're getting so many awesome reviews it's amazing!

So proud of these boys ♥

I was most excited/nervous for the NME one, BUT THEN THEY LIKED IT. Except the Brendon songs, which MAJOR FAIL, NME, but YAY. HURRAH FOR MOSTLY POSITIVE REVIEWS.
