Ugh, conundrum.

So TAI is playing in Kansas City on October 6th. They're playing at this small club that's downtown and I know it'll probably suck, because the crowds there usually tend to suck, and I don't know anyone near me that would go with me, but OMG WANT, YOU GUYS. SO MUCH. Sadly, none of my RL peeps listen to this type of music and probably wouldn't want to go, and I don't think I can convinced myself that going alone isn't supremely lame.

Even though I would be seeing The Butcher live and in person. Oh man. *woe face*

You should go, remember you may go by yourself, but you'll be surrounded by people who love the band. And it's not so lame, what if you got tickets and the day before something happened and a friend couldn't go, would you not go..after getting all excited..I say go, have a good time and enjoy it!

Ummm, he just had a really bad concert experience not to long ago, and that was at a band he LOVES, so. I feel really guilty dragging to see a band he's never even heard of, heh. :P

Aw no, go for it! None of my friends went to my last concert with me (they are still getting woefaces about it), so I went alone and had an ABSOLUTE BLAST yelling and jumping around and chatting up the gals next to me.

I've never been to a show alone so maybe I'd be a hypocrite if I said you should go alone...but go alone if you must! If you want to see them that badly, I say go for it. Believe me, you'll really regret it if you don't.

Also, small clubs FTW. That's when you actually get to meet the bands.

i think i may be going to see TAI by myself in wash dc next month - ill be there visiting fam but i noticed theyre playing a show and i really wanna go...

i also have tickets to 2 FOB shows in nov and have no one to go with - so frustrating! but i really really wanna go so im just gonna do it if i cant find anyone to drag along with me...oh the things ill do for my boys :)

I would go with you if I were still there! I saw Placebo downtown in a club there and it wasn't great, but it wasn't horrible either. Sorry for being so very unhelpful! In any event, I've heard TAI are good live, so maybe the small crowd thing will work for and not against you? And maybe you'll get enough college kids from the campus who will get into it and make it a good experience?

I was there in March/April, when I was working for Lyric Opera of Kansas City (KCMO side). I still miss Eden Alley and their lavender chocolate chip cookies! I'm not going to be there for this season, but I'll let you know if I end up out there in the future! I'd love to meet you!

I know the Lyric Opera well--or at least in terms that my grandmother, when she was still alive, always had season tickets! :)
