I hate living in Missouri. Our meteorologists are so damn considerate, interrupting my show to tell me there's a tornado heading straight toward me. FEH. GIMME MY SHOW. :(

As I am not dead yet, I shall comment on what I saw of said show.

Dearest writers,

Beer that has been a)untouched for God knows how long and b)sitting in the sun for God knows how long TASTES LIKE ASS. It more than likely doesn't even remotely taste like beer, or a beer-like substance. I realize they're all desperate for alcohol and stuff, but really. Sawyer should've been puking his guts out after that first can.

But hey, all Hurley eps are cute and snuggly and usually made of win. Tonight, while still not completely stellar, was WAY better than almost anything we've had all season, because it felt like the show I know and love. Finally. Plus, any episode with Rousseau cameos at the end get an automatic 500 point bonus. Eeee! Guns!! Primitive traps! French accents!

The rest of the good: A nice contrast to the end of season one, where almost no one said goodbye or cared that Sawyer was leaving. Now he's getting hugs galore, and that's kinda sweet. Extra goodness for the way he ducked his head and got all hushed-voiced when he told Hurley about having to leave Jack behind. \o/

The not good: Does no one remember the events of The Long Con? And why am I still arguing continuity with this show? Two plus years in this fandom should learn me better. Also: "Look who's hooked on phonics!" Oh, Sawyer, you didn't. That's just...there are no words. *headdesk*

Alright, the ol' ticker's beating again for this show. It was touch and go there for awhile, but I'm on the road to recovery. Hopefully. And next week--Goodwin?!? OMFG!

Yup, every inch the Hurley ep. And the VW van was just Hurley's golf course redux. ;)

I liked the episode. It was fun. And while I've liked most of the episodes this season (liked, but not loved) I haven't really had fun watching an episode in a while. This one made me laugh, and it was fun to see the boys having fun. :)

I did have fun watching it. Plus, I think Hurley's "shut up, you...redneck...man" was the most awesomest thing ever, as was Sawyer's reply of "touche'". :D

*nods* Same here. Last week, I was ready to kick it to the curb. This week, I'm not only letting it back in the door but I'm going all gooey for it. Such an abused housewife relationship at this point. Ah well. :)

Wait. Goodwin? What?? Sean Bean lookalike is back?? *maybe bounces a little*

I was actually disappointed that there weren't more people around last night for me to talk about the ep with! Usually, since the new season started, I turn off the TV when it's over and go on with my life. Def. an abusive relationship, but what can you do? *g*

I don't think it's Goodwin, now that I've pondered it. :-/

But it's DHARMA burr, my friend, so obviously it's like everlasting.

I thought the same thing about the beer, oddly enough (because what I know about how beer tastes after sitting around for x amount of time is less than zero). When Sawyer popped a can open and took a nice big chug I was like, "But... but... wouldn't it taste gross??"

But I definitely agree that this was one of the best episodes all season because it felt more like something from season one. Not as good as season one, but closer than it has been in awhile.

Even SODA tastes gross when it's been sitting around for more than a few months. Every time Sawyer took a drink, I wanted to gag!

Wait, that was Goodwin? He's not dead? That would be awesome. He was a whole notch about the other Others. Then again, maybe only because we saw so little of him.

Also, yay. Hugs for Sawyer. :) And he was sad about Jack. *ignores Kate*

And Danielle's back. Which makes sense.

Well, okay, it's probably not Goodwin, but that's what popped into my head during the promos! Alas, no Tivo for me, so I can't back up my sources. ;)

If Sawyer could just be a liiiittle more emo over Jack than Kate, I'll be a happy camper.

Ahhh, probs not. I thought back on it, and when Eko was pointing out Goodwin to Jin last season, Goodwin was very, very dead. :P

Sawyer was so adorable in this episode. Ridiculous levels of adorable.

And that whole thing with pushing the minibus to get it started was supposed to be a Little Miss Sunshine reference or something, right? I'm not just crazy, I hope.

He was cute, but it was almost too cute, you know? Ugh, and when he called Charlie "Oliver Twist"? *stabs eyes out* I just don't like it when they turn him into a giant caricature of himself.

Yeah, he definitely seemed more than a little OOC. But I was just happy he got to wash and change clothes. It was starting to scar me.

Liked the episode. I was giddy to see most of the cast together again. Need more please.

The beer. Yeah. And the gas in the van? If the van has been out there more than a year, that gas would have been sludge. No way would that van have started. But whatever! Sawyer!!!!

It's the power of positive thinging! Good beer and fresh gas! LOL

Oh is *that* what it was! Lol! I thought it was dorky writing! I'll give 'em a pass on this one anyway. *snort*

Soooo, Hurley is an emotional eater because his daddy left him for Vegas. Why must every Hurley ep have to revolve around food in some way? Hell, they even had that scene with Random!Lostaways on the beach complaining the food was gone.

The only part I liked last night: when Sawyer called the dead guy "Skeletor." LOL. And what was up with Kate asking him why he called Little House "Little House"? What is she, dumb? Everyone calls it that to this day!

Frankly, this episode was simply more filler. Hurley is sweet and all, but really, who cares? Ratings are down from after the break, and if they want to keep them from falling further, SOME IMPORTANT SHIT NEEDS TO HAPPEN.

They should look at how Heroes is rocking the joint and take a cue from them.

See, and for me, the "Skeletor" line is just one of many obnoxious Sawyer lines to add to the pile this season. Meh. And I think the whole "Little House" thing was supposed to be a jab at Josh having auditioned for a role in a pilot of a Little House revival many years ago. Or something.
