No, I have regular cable (not even HBO!) and a TV tuner card for my computer with a program that allows me to use it like a TiVo, only free. Having a DVR TiVo is great and all, but you have to record to a DVD, then cap from that, and of course *pay* for TiVo. My way simply involved pressing a button as he played cards and uploading those to my Photobucket account.
Well, maybe one day I'll get digital. It's so freaking expensive, though. *hugs* for cheering me up nevertheless.
