What slightly cheesy guilty pleasure song reminds you of your OTP? Since I found a bunch of my old CDs and uploaded a ton of songs to my iPod, I rediscovered my P.M. Dawn album. And now I remember why I was so obsessed with "I'd Die Without You," heh. So totally a B/K song.

[identity profile] makesomelove.livejournal.com 2006-06-07 09:20 pm (UTC)(link)
My mind will twist any song to fit my OTPs. Like, I think I could listen to 'Ice Ice Baby' and I'd be all OMG THIS IS ABOUT BEECHER AND KELLER'S PURE LOVE. ;(

[identity profile] foxxcub.livejournal.com 2006-06-08 01:36 am (UTC)(link)
LMAO

IT'S SO THEM.

[identity profile] rileyc.livejournal.com 2006-06-07 09:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, so many (and right now I'm listening to a B/K CD mix [livejournal.com profile] maverick4oz made me -- although there is zero cheese there; totally cool all the way). One favorite is that Cher/Peter Cetera duet, "After All."

[identity profile] foxxcub.livejournal.com 2006-06-08 01:36 am (UTC)(link)
Ooo, I'd love to know what's on that mix!

Right now my biggest B/K song is Staind's "Right Here". Gah, every word is so THEM.

[identity profile] rileyc.livejournal.com 2006-06-08 03:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Here you go. I love them all, but "Bring It On" & "I'm Still Here" are my favorites.

Evanescence - My Immortal
Incubus - Make Yourself
Lifehouse - Simon
Staind - Epiphany
Vertical Horizon - You're a God
Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds - Bring It On
Dave Matthews Band - What You Are
Vertical Horizon - Send It Up
Evanescence - Taking Over me
Johnny Cash - Hurt
Tracey Chapman - Promise
Incubus - I Miss You
Lifehouse - Sick Cycle Carousel
Staind - Excess Baggage
U2 - All I Want Is You
Vertical Horizon - I'm Still Here

[identity profile] foxxcub.livejournal.com 2006-06-09 01:00 am (UTC)(link)
Ahhh, any mix with U2 can't be bad. :D

Thanks for sharing!

[identity profile] gobsmackit.livejournal.com 2006-06-07 09:36 pm (UTC)(link)
OMG, it's not cheesy, but Mirah's "Cold, Cold Water" IS Kara/Lee (Starbuck/Apollo) to me, thanks to a fucking amazing vid (that I wish you'd watch even though you apparently hate BSG and by default HOW HAPPY IT MAKES ME).

[identity profile] foxxcub.livejournal.com 2006-06-08 01:38 am (UTC)(link)
Woman. I wish you'd stop judging me for lack of not watching BSG (this is still you punishing me for the Wikipedia thing, isn't it? DON'T LIE.)

[identity profile] gobsmackit.livejournal.com 2006-06-08 01:41 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not JUDGING. I'm PITYING YOU, as there is a BSG-shaped hole in your life that you don't even KNOW is there.

FILL THE VOID.

[identity profile] foxxcub.livejournal.com 2006-06-08 01:45 am (UTC)(link)
Okay, true story: I've tried talking Justin into buying season one, but he wants to DL some eps so see if he likes it. But between WoW and the fact that the laptop already has enough torrents on it to kill a small horse, there just hasn't been the opportunity.

[identity profile] gobsmackit.livejournal.com 2006-06-08 01:49 am (UTC)(link)
*tries not to hyperventilate*

Please make sure that if/when he does so, he downloads and watches the mini first, as that is IMPERATIVE. ABSOLUTELY IMPERATIVE!

[identity profile] foxxcub.livejournal.com 2006-06-08 02:14 am (UTC)(link)
WTF, I have to watch a MOVIE first?! O______o

[identity profile] gobsmackit.livejournal.com 2006-06-08 02:16 am (UTC)(link)
>:O It was a TV mini, in 2 parts, each like an hour-and-a-half. Total of like three episodes worth of your time! AND IT'S AN AMAZING THREE HOURS.

[identity profile] foxxcub.livejournal.com 2006-06-08 02:40 am (UTC)(link)
This is already becoming waaaaaay too much work for me. I HAVEN'T EVEN FINISHED SEASON ONE OF RESCUE ME.

[identity profile] gobsmackit.livejournal.com 2006-06-08 02:47 am (UTC)(link)
DUDE, IT WON'T SEEM LIKE WORK WHEN YOU'RE WATCHING.

O God, I'm going to DIE of shame for this one, but Lifehouse's "You and Me" (And it's you and me and all of the people
And I don't know why, I can't keep my eyes off of you.) and Jonatha Brooke's "Everything I Wanted" (and every single day, I'm grateful; I hold my heart in my hands and I love you; this is real)

*squirms in shame*

[identity profile] foxxcub.livejournal.com 2006-06-08 01:48 am (UTC)(link)
I think everyone at one point has linked that song to their OTP. Like Prom, LMAO.

[identity profile] rogueapprentice.livejournal.com 2006-06-07 10:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Well for Jack and Kate? Definitely Aimee Mann's "Save Me." And for Mal/Inara? Heh, Tal Bachman's "She's So High." Remember that song? :P

[identity profile] foxxcub.livejournal.com 2006-06-08 01:40 am (UTC)(link)
I haven't heard that song in FOREVER, LOL.

[identity profile] svilleficrecs.livejournal.com 2006-06-07 10:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Not really cheesy, but Pulp's "Pencil Skirt" was practically written for Jim/Pam. Kinky, twisted, repressed, stalkery Jim/Pam. Mmmmmmm. Soooo good.

[identity profile] assassinofjoy.livejournal.com 2006-06-07 11:08 pm (UTC)(link)
*thinks* Well, Brokeback Mountain has forever ruined "He Was a Friend of Mine" for me ... tho as much as I love Willie, he doesn't hold a candle to Bob Dylan. Still ... damn cowboys =( Ummm ... I'm not into The Sopranos really, but I did like the Christopher/Adriana pairing. I was sad when she was killed off, and whenever I listen to "Pretend You Don't See Her" ... too perfect for words. As for Beecher/Keller -- this still strikes me as so cheesey but I can't help myself -- #1 Crush by Garbage.

[identity profile] foxxcub.livejournal.com 2006-06-08 01:43 am (UTC)(link)
Now you make me want to go looking for that MP3, hee. ;)

For me, "He Was a Friend of Mine" has nothing on "The Maker Makes". I LOVE RUFUS.

[identity profile] assassinofjoy.livejournal.com 2006-06-08 03:05 am (UTC)(link)
The Maker Makes just depresses the HELL out of me ... and yet it still dominates my playlist *grin* OOO! If you haven't already heard it, I bet you'd like Rufus' "Hallelujah," which is just gorgeous ... reminds me of Lost, in a melancoly, collage-y sort of way ;)

[identity profile] calvincakes.livejournal.com 2006-06-07 11:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Not so cheesy but Every You and Every Me by Placebo used to be my Harry/Draco song. :p

[identity profile] eiluned.livejournal.com 2006-06-07 11:22 pm (UTC)(link)
This is kind of embarassing, but Lifehouse's No Name Face album is one giant temptation to me. It makes me want to write sappy Logan/Jean (X-Men) fanfic. [facepalm]

[identity profile] in-purple-skies.livejournal.com 2006-06-08 12:11 am (UTC)(link)
I'm in the obsessive place right now where every song, cheesy or otherwise reminds me of my OTP. Very distracting. :/

[identity profile] foxxcub.livejournal.com 2006-06-08 01:47 am (UTC)(link)
Seems to be a common epidemic, no?

[identity profile] jackiesjunkie.livejournal.com 2006-06-08 12:24 am (UTC)(link)
LOL, I've written a ton of songfics for A-Team. But right now, I've got a bunny chasing me for an Toby future fic. "I'm not Lisa" by Jessi Colter is the song. Basic idea for it would be Toby in a casual relationship and he accidentally calls the other person Chris. So kind of an "I'm not Chris", it'll never work as long as he's in love with a dead man type of idea.

Tell me you can't totally see Keller singing "Hopelessly Devoted To You." C'mon, I dare you to deny it. You can't, can you??

*bg*

[identity profile] foxxcub.livejournal.com 2006-06-08 01:46 am (UTC)(link)
I'd rather envision Toby singing it, but yeah. Totally. XD

[identity profile] rileyc.livejournal.com 2006-06-08 03:50 pm (UTC)(link)
No, Toby comes out later in black leather, singing, "You're The One That I Want."

OMG, I've been sloooowly downloading that album for weeks now, LOL. A (very) naive friend of mine had it, and she didn't know he was gay. She made a comment to me of "it's weird, all the songs are, like, guy-on-guy type stuff." :P

[identity profile] kalina22.livejournal.com 2006-06-08 04:46 am (UTC)(link)
"I rediscovered my P.M. Dawn album. And now I remember why I was so obsessed with "I'd Die Without You," heh. So totally a B/K song."

Ah! There's somebody else on this world who was obsessed with that song - OMG, OMG, OMG! lol

Okay, this song isn't cheesy, but 'Photograph' by Nickelback is now permanently branded as a James/Jack song because of you.

[identity profile] foxxcub.livejournal.com 2006-06-09 01:02 am (UTC)(link)
Awww, yay! I love that song, and I don't even like Nickelback that much. :D

[identity profile] gottalovev.livejournal.com 2006-06-08 02:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm really good at matching every song with my OTP too. Right now I'm totally considering making a songvid of Jack/Sawyer on the song "Hate me" by Blue October. Never done that though. But I think I'll just have to try to get it out of my head, damnit!!!

[identity profile] supersyncspaz7.livejournal.com 2006-06-08 03:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Franz Ferdinand's "Take Me Out" and "Walk Away" = theme songs for all of Candice's Angsty McAngstpants OTPs. Heh.

[identity profile] tychoelite.livejournal.com 2006-06-08 04:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh man. Placebo's 'Sleeping with Ghosts' hands down. That song has always been totally Remus/Sirius to me. Hearing it always makes me sniffle a bit :(

[identity profile] foxxcub.livejournal.com 2006-06-08 05:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm totally that way with Snow Patrol's "Chasing Cars" when it comes to Jack/James. That is THE J/J song to me and never fails to make me weepy. :(

Oh,I got cheesy songs!
Jack/Sawyer-"You look so fine" by Garbage, and believe it or not "I'd Do Anything For Love" by Meat Loaf,"To deserve you" by Bette Midler. Is that cheese enough?
For B/K-"Possession" by S/McLachlan,"Human" by Pretenders and "Is it Love" by Bob Marley.Oh,and back in time fandom went crazy for "Prison Bitch" by Bob and Tom.It's a real song, and a hilarious one too.
