Random comment...I was browsing ljs for Lost stuff and at the mention of Brokeback Mountain, tears came to my eyes and I had to comment. I read the novella a few weeks ago in Annie Proulx's collection "Close Range" and...Jesus. I was hollowed-out and exhausted and exhilerated and raised and spun... I finished it and felt like a child and an old woman at the same time. And I'm pretty sure tire irons will make me cry for the rest of my life. And I loved every word.
I'm looking forward to the movie like crazy, but it's not just "gay cowboys are hot!" anymore (though there's plenty of that)...and I think you know what i mean.
I'm glad to know other people enjoyed it as well, and I hope you're not creeped out by the randomness. :)
