I refuse to try to read too much into that (my brain is not so resolute), but however he meant it, it was really, really sweet. You can't tell, now, but there were actually several minutes between those tweets, so he actually reconsidered what he said and came back and amended it. ...And here's where my brain goes off to a happy place despite my best efforts.
