Spencer sees Jon and Tom sneaking kisses backstage one night, and he has to try so hard to push down the overwhelming feeling of nausea that washes over him. He watches until he can't bear it anymore.

On stage that night, he plays harder than he ever has, wrists flicking, eyes sparking, his mouth parted in exertion. On stage, he can almost forget about Jon.
