(no subject)

I went to see Premium Rush this weekend with Mr. Foxx, and while it wasn't spectacular, it had JGL making out with a hot Latina chick and also passed the Bechdel test? So bonus points for you, little kinda-indie movie where JGL rides a fixy bike and gets to be the badass hipster of his DREAMS.

So...I start grad school this week??? \o?? It's a bit anti-climactic in many ways; I work for a small liberal arts university as an admissions rep for the graduate school, and part of my job benefits include free tuition. Yep, I get a free masters. Not too shabby! However, since my university is, as I mentioned, very small, we only have masters programs in Business and Education. I am not a teacher (lolololol) so an MBA degree it is! I have class on Thursday nights, and if all goes well I should be done by May 2014. That being said, I am going on the record by saying that starting this week I will NO LONGER be signing up for ficfests/exchanges/challenges and the like. I MEAN IT. An accelerated masters program = less fandom time. Basically, if you see me Tweeting and/or posting about signing up for a big bang or whatnot, PLEASE PUNCH ME IN THE FACE. Or, y'know, tell me I'm not supposed to be doing that because I'm an adult in grad school.

THIS DOES NOT MEAN I'M NOT GOING TO WRITE FIC. I am currently feverishly finishing up my avengers_rbb fic to be posted on Sunday (uh, anyone want to beta fic where Clint has wings?? /o\), and once that's done I plan to devote my time to Bylines. Er, and maybe a Teen Wolf Regency fic since helenish is a terrible person and won't write one for me. (Being in Teen Wolf fandom is a weird feeling for me, because I'm not used to being in fandoms where I'm not writing fic. That's my contribution, dammit! Without it, I almost feel like I can't claim to be part of the fun. :( )

Speaking of avengers_rbb, does anyone have recs to share? I'm getting a bit overwhelmed with everything that's being posted! I already have torakowalski's fic bookmarked, ADORED sirona_gs's Clint/Coulson origins story, and really want this Steve/Tony space opera to be good. Also, if you haven't read jibrailis and and_backagain's Pushing Daisies AU where Tony can bring dead things back to life, you're robbing yourself of joy and wonder.
